5 Tips for a Worry-Free Garden Wedding

A dream garden wedding is the perfect way to start your happily ever after!

It's important to properly prepare when planning a garden wedding to ensure that the day is worry-free. Here are some suggestions to make your ideal garden wedding stress-free and cozy for you and your guests.

1. Have a Backup Plan

Weather can be unpredictable. Couples should have a backup plan for rain in mind when organizing an outdoor wedding. Renting a tent is an ideal solution, especially if the wedding is taking place during the rainy season.

If couples are worried about their budget, or there's a sudden downpour right on the day of their wedding without a tent for contingency, Our Haven has an open-sided pavilion that can accommodate up to 100 pax. This will provide shelter from the rain while still enjoying the outdoors of Metro Tagaytay. With the right plan in place, couples can still have a beautiful garden wedding that runs smoothly and without interruption.

2. Give Your Guests the Heads Up

Give your guests ample notice about the venue so they can plan and take the necessary preparations to be comfortable on your special day. This will ensure they have the greatest experience possible.

Make sure to inform your guests on what to wear, as well as any other information that may be useful based on the time of year and/or time of day. For example, you can include a note in your invitation cards hinting at weather-appropriate attire and lawn-friendly shoes. After all, Our Haven has several lush gardens for your guests to stroll around in and take photos while waiting for the ceremony or the reception to begin.

3. Prepare Refreshments

Preparing refreshments for your guests that have traveled all the way to celebrate with you is a great way to show them how much you appreciate their presence! Setting up a juice bar or a water station can be a great way to keep everyone refreshed on a warm day. Meanwhile, a coffee bar is great for cool weather, especially during the 'Ber' months in Metro Tagaytay, as they provide both hot and cold drinks. With simple touches like these, you can make sure your guests are taken care of.

Our Haven's Cattleya Package provides all three for that reason! After your ceremony, your guests will be able to enjoy cold water, fruit juice, and hot brewed coffee, keeping them refreshed and energized throughout your cocktail time.

4. Illuminate the Night

Lights are an important part of any wedding. You want your garden reception to be bright and beautiful, and the right lighting will make all the difference! Choose a lights and sounds wedding supplier that is knowledgeable when it comes to lighting garden venues.

Our Haven already has built-in lanterns that provide ample lighting to support your lights and sounds supplier at the reception area. But for an even more special ambiance, you may also consider setting up string lights or fairy lights for your garden wedding reception for a magical touch to your special day.

5. Get Creative with Souvenirs

For a garden wedding venue, practical and useful souvenirs are the perfect way to thank your guests as they can use them during and after your celebration. Consider giving them umbrellas in case of sudden rain, or shawls to keep them warm during your outdoor reception program. These gifts will be used and cherished by your guests, giving them a lasting reminder of your special day. You can choose to personalize each gift with a special message, or a monogram of the newlyweds.
